I've been stuck in a negative feedback loop in my recent rants about the climate crisis, not without tons of damning evidence, of course, but I must say that your newsletter serves as a refreshing roadmap for positive action.
I started this newsletter because I was in despair about how little seemed to be happening to address this existential threat. My daughters advised me to avoid my usual gloomy outlook and focus on the positive. This has turned out to be the best possible advice!
A rational person might look at our quandary and conclude that there is indeed no hope. But despair accomplishes little, and in fact there is a lot of positive news out there. It’s even possible that addressing this problem could result in a much more equitable planet!
If you don’t already know about it, I’d suggest that you check out the podcast “Outrage & Optimism.” They take a global view and their title is apt — more gets done by leveraging outrage than by succumbing to gloom.
